Job summary

The Engineer works under the Director of Information Technology and communicates security decisions clearly to the IT team and firm personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in IT, Cybersecurity, CS, or related field.
• Five+ years hands-on network security experience with security controls.
• Experience implementing controls for a recognized security framework (NIST/CIS/ISO).
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to explain security risks to attorneys and staff.

Responsibilities

• Administer FortiGate firewalls and VPN, including policy management and logging.
• Manage endpoint protection (CrowdStrike) and Microsoft Defender in a hybrid setup.
• Configure identity and access controls across Entra ID and AD with MFA and conditional access.
• Maintain cloud email security and Microsoft 365 security configurations.
• Lead vulnerability management, patching, incident response, and DR support.
