Network Security Engineer

Join my client's Infrastructure Team as a Network Security Engineer, where you'll design, implement, and maintain security solutions in a hybrid cloud environment. We're looking for a firewall expert, especially in Palo Alto Firewalls, to ensure secure and reliable system communication.

***This role requires the candidate TO LIVE in Arizona***

The position is fully remote, however, the person must live in the state of Arizona

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and administer Palo Alto Firewalls, Azure Firewall, and Cisco ASA
• Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot firewall rules, object groups, and IP groups
• Monitor security metrics and logs using Dynatrace and Splunk
• Implement and enforce security best practices for firewalls and load balancers
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to optimize network security

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of firewall administration experience (Palo Alto preferred)
• 3+ years with cloud firewall technologies (Azure Firewall)
• Strong knowledge of network services, routing, and layer 2 networking
• Proficient in PowerShell, Bash, and hybrid cloud platforms (Azure, VMware)
• Experience with security monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace)
• Certifications in Palo Alto, Cisco, or Azure highly desirable
