Job Description:

This position requires the ability to perform moderately complex (journey-level) cybersecurity analysis work, essential for TDLR to fulfill its mission of service to the citizens of Texas. The work involves protecting cybersecurity assets and delivering cybersecurity incident detection, incident response, threat assessment, cyber intelligence, software security, and vulnerability assessment services.

This position also requires analysis of cybersecurity threat indicators and their behaviors; research and implementation of new security risk and threat mitigation strategies, tools, techniques, and solutions for the prevention, detection, containment, and correction of data security breaches; monitoring agency systems, reporting anomalous activity or malicious traffic, performing cybersecurity incident detection, analysis, and prevention; assisting in administration of security tools; conducting vulnerability scans of networks and applications to assess effectiveness and identify weaknesses; evaluating new cybersecurity technologies to remediate vulnerabilities; and providing input on improving network, server, workstation, and application security.
