The Network Program Consultant will support the UnitedHealthcare Community Plan Care Provider Manuals team within UHN Government Programs Strategies. This team is responsible for maintaining 36 care provider manuals for the Medicaid business, with care provider manuals typically ranging from 60 to 200+ pages and collaborating with health plan business owners to help ensure care provider manual content remains current, accurate, compliant, and useful for Medicaid care providers. This role will primarily focus on proofreading care provider manual content for grammar, clarity, consistency, and alignment with internal writing/style standards, then implementing approved updates within Adobe InDesign.
Approximately 85% of the role is dedicated to proofreading in Adobe Acrobat as well as editing and formatting the care provider manuals in InDesign. Much of this work is completed independently, so the ideal candidate must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing focused document work while also collaborating effectively with the broader team and business partners. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to review large volumes of content while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
The remaining 15% supports related operational activities, including reporting, hyperlink maintenance, governance support, and other documentation needs. We are seeking an enthusiastic, grammar-loving team player who is eager to hit the ground running and contribute to high-quality, care provider-facing manuals.
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
