Job summary

The Cigna Group seeks a Medical Executive, Network & Provider Relations to lead affordability and network performance through physician leadership and strategic provider engagement. This market-facing role focuses on translating relationships and insights into measurable outcomes across West Coast provider organizations.

You will partner with health systems, contracting, market leadership, analytics and finance teams to improve cost, quality and access while advancing value-based care

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree is required.
• Active, unrestricted medical license.
• Board certification in an ABMS-recognized specialty.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical practice experience.
• Minimum 3 years of healthcare leadership, payer, network, provider relations, or value-based care experience.
• Demonstrated ability to influence physician leaders and cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Affordability & network performance leadership in assigned markets and provider relationships.
• Use market intelligence and performance data to identify opportunities to improve cost, quality, utilization, access, and network performance.
• Partner with provider organizations to address clinical and operational drivers of cost and variation.
• Support implementation of evidence-based initiatives that improve value and outcomes.
• Collaborate with analytics, actuarial, network, finance, and clinical partners to evaluate interventions and measure impact.
• Provide clinical leadership addressing affordability risks and strategic network priorities.
• Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with health systems and provider organizations.
• Serve as a credible clinical advisor on performance improvement and network priorities.
• Facilitate dialogue on affordability opportunities, provider performance, and value-based care.
