Job summary

Utimaco Safeware AG is seeking an experienced network engineer to configure and manage global data-center networks, including Juniper and Fortinet devices, VPN/IPsec, and zero-trust access. You will optimize reverse proxies and DNS, and automate deployments with Ansible and Terraform.

Strong knowledge of BGP/OSPF/RIP, monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana, and excellent documentation and communication in English are required.

Qualifications

Solid hands-on experience in operational network engineering in global data center environments.
Proven expertise with Juniper EX/QFX/SRX, Fortinet FortiGate, FortiSwitches, and OPNsense firewalls.
Strong understanding of BGP/OSPF/RIP, VPN/IPsec, and secure network design.
Experience with reverse proxies (HAProxy/Traefik) and DNS management.
Proficient with Ansible/Terraform for automation and monitoring/logging tools.

Responsibilities

Configure, operate, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across data centers.
Implement firewall policies, VPNs, and secure access following zero-trust principles.
Monitor network health and performance using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and related tools.
Deploy and optimize services like reverse proxies and DNS configurations for high availability.
Apply IaC concepts with Ansible and Terraform for repeatable deployments; troubleshoot issues with Wireshark and nmap.
