Job summary

Megaport in Brisbane is seeking a Network Operations Engineer to manage network operations, fault resolution, and L3 support for Megaport services. You will collaborate with engineering teams to build a scalable, reliable network with emphasis on automation and elastic on-demand services.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience with IS-IS, BGP, MPLS TE, MPLS VPN, DWDM/ROADM, and hardware from Juniper, Cisco and Nokia.

Qualifications

• Strong background in network incident resolution and mitigation.
• IS-IS routing experience is preferred.
• Experience with BGP, MPLS and DWDM/ROADM networks.

Responsibilities

• Operate Megaport’s next‑generation network and perform Level 3 fault resolution.
• Forecast, plan, deploy and manage network capacity to ensure availability.
• Document all work in Megaport’s OSS/BSS systems and maintain monitoring for network gear.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and internal engineering teams.
• Provide escalation support and technical summaries of work performed.
