We’re looking for a systems administrator who specializes in Red Hat Enterprise Linux to help us build and maintain tailored virtual infrastructure supporting global missions focused on seeking out and eliminating cyberspace threats to defend the United States and its allies.

As a systems administrator on our project, you’ll ensure the current infrastructure is functional and available while constantly looking for ways to improve it using the latest technology and the best implementation strategies. You’ll provide your customers insight into their network through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission‑critical network. You’ll help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning. This is an opportunity to broaden your skill set with tools such as Ansible, oVirt, pfSense, FreeIPA, Docker, Jira, and Confluence. We focus on growing as a team, so you’ll share your expertise through leadership and mentoring as you help the team through challenges and develop new methodologies. As a technical leader, you’ll identify new opportunities to modernize the network to help your customers meet their needs. Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Linux
• Experience in a system engineering or system administration role
• Experience with Linux system administration and virtual machine management
• Experience with Jira ticketing and Confluence
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• HS diploma or GED

Nice if you have

• Advanced troubleshooting of network, firewall, system, and application issues, including oVirt, FreeIPA, and pfSense
• Provisioning virtual infrastructure and allocating virtual infrastructure hosting software
• Container provisioning tools, including Docker
• Apache NiFi deployments
• Automation tools and Infrastructure‑as‑Code to manage installations, pipelines, and scripting
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering
• IAT Level II certification

Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Compensation

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). This posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.
