Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an ESOC Engineer to monitor, troubleshoot, and manage network and infrastructure services in a demanding 24x7 environment. You will provide technical support for escalated issues and ensure quick resolutions to protect enterprise services.

The role requires strong IT skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication, with shift work (Wed–Sat, 6am–4pm) and a focus on rapid issue detection and AI-enabled improvements. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a technical operations environment.
  • Experience with technical customer support.
  • Knowledge of Linux and UNIX, Windows, and Networks.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow or ticketing systems.
  • Knowledge of ITIL concepts.
  • Ability to apply fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.
  • Ability to support a 6am to 4pm, Wednesday through Saturday shift.
  • Associate's degree or 2+ years of experience in IT operations and incident management in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving service issues efficiently using networking tools, coordinating with service owners to resolve disruptions, and working with the Service Desk to identity potential wide spread issues and ensure a rapid escalation. The position requires working in a shift-based environment.

Monitor and troubleshoot incident management of the network and services in a 24x7 fast-paced environment. Monitor, troubleshoot, and ensure quick resolution of all problems with the network, infrastructure, and services offered by our organization. Troubleshoot and resolve customer and services issues in a timely and efficient manner using various networking tools. ESOC Engineers work in shifts, and this position is expected to support operations Wednesday through Saturday from 6am to 4pm Eastern. As we transition towards Agentic Infrastructure Operations and Monitoring, this position will be instrumental in identifying AI-driven opportunities and implementing leveraging AI tools to enhance issue detection and facilitate automated problem resolution. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have

2+ years of experience in a technical operations environment

Experience with technical customer support

Knowledge of Linux and UNIX, Windows, and Networks

Knowledge of ServiceNow or ticketing systems

Knowledge of ITIL concepts

Ability to apply fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments

Ability to support a 6am to 4pm, Wednesday through Saturday shift
