JCS Solutions LLC seeks a Sr. Network & Systems Engineer to support a DoD contract at Fort Belvoir, VA.

You will serve as a senior technical authority for engineering, systems analysis, and modernization across multiple security domains, ensuring secure, resilient IT operations for CONUS and OCONUS locations. The role requires TS/SCI clearance, DoD 8570.01‑M IAT Level II, and 8–12 years (or 6–10 years with a Master’s) of relevant experience in enterprise networking, AD, and ITSM.

Qualifications

• US citizen required.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance at consideration.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field with 8–12 years of relevant experience; OR Master's degree with 6–10 years.
• Equivalent high-level technical experience may substitute the degree.
• Advanced understanding of enterprise networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, routing, switching, firewalls).
• Experience with enterprise server, storage, and virtualization infrastructures.
• Experience administering Active Directory in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Experience utilizing enterprise monitoring platforms such as SolarWinds.
• Working knowledge of ITIL and ITSM best practices.
• Current DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification or higher before start.
• Ability to support Day Shift or Night Shift schedules.

Responsibilities

• Advise DTRA leadership and mission partners on enterprise technology solutions, requirements, capacity planning, and architectural roadmaps.
• Analyze, document, test, and modify network and server configurations, security controls, and Active Directory environments per DoD baselines.
• Serve as the 24x7x365 NOSC Operations Watch Officer during assigned shifts.
• Lead troubleshooting and resolution for complex enterprise outages across multiple environments.
• Develop diagnostic strategies, perform event correlation, and conduct root-cause analysis for high-impact incidents.
• Support continuous improvement of operational procedures, incident response frameworks, and SLA-driven workflows.
• Evaluate and integrate third-party technologies and vendor solutions within enterprise environments.
• Manage and support configurations within ServiceNow ITSM.
• Interface with mission partners, DISA, Joint Forces, and Combatant Commands regarding status, vulnerabilities, and solutions.
• Prepare and deliver operational briefings, executive summaries, technical reports, and AARs to senior leadership.
• Provide technical leadership to Tier I–III support personnel.
• Monitor enterprise health using DoD-approved monitoring tools, including SolarWinds.
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate incidents remotely or onsite as required.
• Ensure continuous and secure access to enterprise systems supporting mission-critical operations.

JCS Solutions is seeking an experienced Sr. Network & Systems Engineer to support large-scale operations on a high-profile Department of War (DoW) contract at Fort Belvoir, VA. This role supports the I3TS program, which delivers enterprise-wide IT services to DTRA's Information Management & Technology Directorate (ITD). The successful candidate will serve as a senior technical authority responsible for engineering, systems analysis, operational oversight, and strategic modernization initiatives across Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret environments. What you will do:

• Apply advanced systems analysis techniques to advise DTRA leadership and mission partners on enterprise technology solutions, system requirements, capacity planning, and architectural roadmaps.

• Prepare and deliver operational briefings, executive summaries, technical reports, and After-Action Reports (AARs) to senior leadership.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to Tier I, II, and III support personnel.
• Monitor and maintain enterprise network health using DoD-approved monitoring tools, including SolarWinds.
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate technical incidents through remote or onsite support as required.
• Ensure continuous and secure access to enterprise systems supporting mission-critical operations.

At JCS Solutions, compensation is based on a number of factors such as location, qualifications, and applicable contract terms. The general salary range for this position is as follows: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00
