Moreover, your role will provide critical insight and feedback to government customers to optimize the overall communications performance of terrestrial, satellite, launch vehicle, and ground-based systems. **T**he selected candidate will be required to work full time on-site at the Aerospace El Segundo, CA facility**********What You’ll Be Doing*******Job Summary:** Lead/participate in multi-disciplinary engineering teams in development and analysis of future network architectures and requirements* Analyze and simulate complex network architectures and protocols* Engage in systems architecture definition, development, analysis, modeling & simulation, and prototype development/validation.* Innovate through specialized technical studies and internal research and development (R&D) projects to develop the next generation of Space and Ground network concepts, architectures, and technologies* Coordinate tasks in technical meetings for SSC, NRO, and Civil & Commercial customers working with a diverse team comprising military officers and Government civilians, prime contractors, SE&I contractors and other FFRDCs* Evaluate and develop multiple access communications or engineering technologies.* Support development and sustainment of core network simulation, emulation, and modeling capabilities.**********What You Need to be Successful –** **********Engineering Specialist*******Minimum Requirements:** Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.* Minimum of 6 years of experience in data analysis, OSI and TCP/IP models and in network design, analysis, and modeling & simulation.* Deep knowledge of routing and switching protocols.* Experience in software development in Python or C/C++.* Ability to present results effectively in briefings and technical reports.* Willing to travel, as needed (up to 10%)* This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. Government.
