Job summary

Paterson Public School District is seeking a Network Manager to oversee and optimize district network operations. The role requires strong expertise in Cisco Meraki, firewalling, content filtering, and enterprise-grade networking across Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and ChromeOS environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of network management experience in large environments.
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, OS, and security protocols.
• Experience configuring Cisco Meraki products and managing via Meraki portal.
• Experience with Cisco Firewall.
• Experience with iBoss content filter.
• Proficiency with Cisco LAN and Wireless, ISE, WAN-ISP and content filtering.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with teams.
• Knowledge of Windows, Mac OS, iOS, Android and ChromeOS.
• Knowledge of Office 365 and Google Workspace.
• Ability to plan large-scale software rollouts and manage a team of Network techs.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in network management, preferably in a large enterprise or school district environment, highlighting a record of accomplishment of professionalism and successful project delivery.
• Extensive expertise and up-to-date knowledge in network infrastructure, network operating systems, and security protocols, emphasizing a commitment to professionalism. Development and staying current with industry trends.
• Experience with configuration and implantation of Cisco Meraki products as well as management through Meraki portal.
• Experience with Cisco Firewall.
• Experience with iBoss content filter.
• Proficiency and hands‑on experience with industry-leading networking technologies, including Cisco LAN and Wirelesstechnologies, ISE, WAN-ISP, content filtering, and reflecting a dedication to technical excellence.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate and build strong relationships with technical and non-technical teams, fostering a culture of professionalism and clear communication.
• Knowledge of various operating systems, including Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, IOS, Android, ChromeOS.
• Knowledge of various online collaboration platforms such as Office 365 and Google Workspace.
