Job summary

Envision Technology Solutions is seeking a Senior Network Lab Engineer to build, maintain, and operate advanced lab environments and testbeds in New York. You will reproduce production network topologies in the lab and run interoperability, certification, and testing activities to ensure readiness before production.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of networking experience, strong hands-on skills with BGP, routing and switching, plus familiarity with Cisco/Arista equipment, NX-OS and EOS.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of networking/internetworking experience.
• Strong hands-on BGP, SD-Access, routing & switching.
• Real-world network troubleshooting experience.
• Cisco / Arista networking, routing & switching.
• Cisco NX-OS and Arista EOS.
• Network lab/testbed build and management.
• Ixia / Spirent traffic generators.
• Network security: F5, Fortinet, A10.
• Optics & cabling: SFP+, QSFP+, QSFP28, DAC, fiber.
• PTP, NTP, PPS and timing/synchronization.
• RHEL, NX-OS, IOS-XE, EOS.
• Server/NIC configuration and virtualization (ESXi/KVM).
• NetBox, Infoblox, ReadyWorks, Nautobot or similar tools.
• Python / Ansible automation is a plus.
• Visio / Draw.io
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and operate network lab environments and testbeds.
• Reproduce production network topologies in the lab.
• Execute interoperability, certification, and network testing.
• Manage network devices, servers, NICs, optics, cabling, and lab equipment.
• Maintain lab inventory, capacity, documentation, and equipment lifecycle.
• Support Cisco/Arista network infrastructure and traffic-generation tools.
• Develop and improve lab processes and procedures.
• Provide status reports, identify issues, and recommend improvements.
