Peraton is seeking a Network Installer to support FAA NAS modernization programs in multiple US locations, including Oakland, CA. The role focuses on maintaining and enhancing IP-based networks behind mission-critical aviation systems, ensuring uptime, security, and reliability.

The position requires 100% local travel to FAA facilities within the region, a strong background in enterprise networking, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required with ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience (or equivalent: Master's 6+, Associate 10+, HS diploma 12+).
• Proven experience managing and supporting enterprise network environments.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking technologies.
• Experience with TDM-to-IP migrations and modern IP-based networking.
• Solid understanding of SD-WAN, fiber optics, and wireless LAN/WAN technologies.
• Familiarity with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios).
• Ability to read and interpret network diagrams and schematics.
• Experience with fiber testing tools (e.g., OTDR).
• Demonstrated leadership and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Network Installer - Make an Impact Where It Matters Most

We are looking for a Network Installer to join our talented and diverse team supporting the FAA. In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining and enhancing the network infrastructure behind mission-critical aviation systems.

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
