Network Install Technicians collaborate with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot complex technical scenarios, implement strategic solutions, and keep the network running seamlessly. The role involves hands‑on technical work requiring creativity, precision, and a passion for innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Move and install large enterprise equipment.
  • Install fiber and copper cabling and patch cables between equipment.
  • Maintain proper safety and security standards during cabling and rack installation.
  • Follow established hardware installation procedures and perform break‑fix activities.
  • Safely use material handling tools and equipment.
  • Travel within and outside the regional work area as required.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift and/or move up to 40 pounds regularly; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
  • Work in a 24/7 environment with ability to respond to primary responder rotation and after‑hours support.
  • Work in cramped, elevated, or noisy environments.
  • Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours per day.
  • Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely.
  • Travel to data centers during training until the assigned facility becomes operational.
Essential Requirements
  • Ability to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed.
  • Willingness to temporarily work at alternative sites during training periods or until assigned facility is operational.
  • Travel frequency will vary based on business needs and operational status of the assigned facility.
  • Candidates must be able to travel over 50 miles or commute less than 50 miles to active data center sites as required by business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers.
  • 18+ months of experience in a data center or critical environment or similar technical roles (Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, Data Center Operations).
  • 18+ months of experience with network cabling, optic types, and test equipment (VFL, power meter, OTDR, etc.).
  • Experience in a data center or other critical environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional or military experience in an IT‑related field (e.g., computer science, network engineering).
  • Certifications in a relevant field (CCENT, Network+, CCNA).
  • Behavioral interviewing and hiring experience.
  • Ability to work on a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.
