Harvey Nash USA is seeking a Networking Project/Program Manager to expand the Network Infrastructure team for a leading e-commerce company. Based onsite in Arlington, VA, this 12-month role blends project management with hands-on networking knowledge to drive critical deployments.

You will consolidate requirements, design network solutions with engineering, and manage programs covering data center hardware, connectivity, and capacity planning, while coordinating Internet, Peering, and Backbone

Qualifications

• PM with networking knowledge and ability to discuss data center hardware.
• Experience coordinating Internet, Peering and Backbone deployments.
• Degree or certification in Engineering, CS, IT, Networking or related field preferred.

Harvey Nash USA has been engaged to find a talented Networking Project/Program Manager to expand our Network Infrastructure team for a leading e-commerce company.

Title: Network / Infrastructure Project Manager

Location: Arlington, VA (onsite)

Duration: 12 months

This role involves many Project Management core competencies in conjunction with technical/networking knowledge.

The team works with varied internal customers to deploy lowlatency content delivery services like Caching, DNS, Prime Video streaming, Internet, Peering, and Backbone connectivity.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Consolidate customer requirements and forecast future service growth.
• Develop requirements and partner with engineering to design network solutions.
• Build and manage programs covering physical infrastructure, networking hardware, and connectivity.
• Coordinate Internet, Peering, and Backbone connectivity deployments.
• Track schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables.
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and internal customers.
• Communicate program status and drive issues to resolution.

Key Technical Requirements

• Strong understanding of basic networking principles.
• Familiarity with how networks work, including different types of switches and routers.
• Understanding of data center environments and operations.
• Experience or knowledge of data center capacity planning.
• Understanding of data center hardware and terminology, such as:
  • Racks and rack requirements
  • IT hardware installation
  • Networking equipment
  • Different types of fiber
• Ability to understand the process involved in installing IT hardware in a data center.
• Candidates should be technically comfortable and able to discuss how a particular process works.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Data Analysis, software, automation, or AI experience.
• Internet Peering or network capacity planning experience.

Education

• Degree or certification in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Networking, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required.

A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum hourly wage for this position is $60 - $70 Hourly on W2.
