Job summary

DC Access, a Washington, DC-based ISP, seeks a hands-on Network Infrastructure Manager to lead installation, tech support, and network monitoring. You will plan, coordinate and execute technical assignments with the Operations team.

You will develop processes, train staff, manage schedules, and coordinate with owners. Occasional off-hours work may be required. This role supports a local network and MDUs in DC and Northern Virginia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, network and wireless technologies, or related technical field.
• 4+ years technical and team leadership experience.
• Excellent communications, multi-tasking and team building skills.
• Understanding of wireless technology.
• 4+ years experience in networking, security, firewalls – troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Working knowledge of hand tools and power tools, including masonry hammer drills.
• Available for flexible work schedule (shared off-hours emergency service).
• Ability to carry and climb ladders up to 32 ft and 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Oversee install technicians and coordinate projects to reduce return visits.
• Create and enforce install processes and ensure training compliance.
• Train new install technicians and technical staff to company standards.
• Manage scheduling and lead weekly meetings with teams.
• Coordinate with business owners to ensure department performance.
• Participate in projects to design, develop, test, install and maintain technical operations.
• Maintain network to limit downtime and act as on-call contact for tower issues.
