About The Role

Responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the organization’s network and infrastructure environment. This role focuses on ensuring the stability, security, and performance of network systems across data center and client banking environments. Primary responsibilities include managing network connectivity, monitoring performance, maintaining firewall and switching infrastructure, and supporting operational improvements to minimize downtime and enhance system reliability. Provides support for server infrastructure as needed and ensures alignment with regulatory and security requirements.

This position can be located in Sioux Falls or Pierre, SD.

What You Will Do

• Administer and maintain network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless systems.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity; identify and resolve performance issues.
• Perform routine maintenance, updates, and configuration changes to ensure system stability.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and restore service in a timely manner.
• Maintain and update firewall rules, VPN connectivity, and access controls.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve network performance and reliability.
• Monitor bandwidth utilization, latency, and network health to prevent disruptions.
• Support redundancy and failover processes to ensure continued service availability.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and configuration records.
• Follow and contribute to change management and incident response processes.
• Assist with audit requests and provide documentation for network‑related controls.
• Support server and infrastructure systems as needed, particularly where network dependencies exist.
• Assist with patching, updates, and system maintenance impacting connectivity or performance.
• Support enforcement of network security policies and standards.
• Participate in vulnerability remediation and monitoring activities related to network systems.

What You Will Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in system administration and network operations.
• In‑depth knowledge of data backup and recovery techniques and tools.
• Strong technical skills in server and network infrastructure including, but not limited to, Microsoft Operating Systems, UNIX, Linux, Unisys, MCP, Fiserv Applications, and other proprietary banking platforms.
