Job summary

Glocomms is seeking a Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer to design, secure, and optimize a global IT environment across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid platforms.

You will lead modernization initiatives, manage Cisco and Palo Alto networks, coordinate Azure connectivity, and mentor junior engineers while supporting 24/7 on-call operations, with occasional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience supporting enterprise network and infrastructure environments.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco or Palo Alto technologies.
• Hands-on experience supporting Azure cloud environments and hybrid infrastructure.
• Strong VMware experience, including ESXi, vCenter, and vSphere technologies.
• Proven experience with disaster recovery, high-availability environments, and infrastructure troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design and support enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, & VPN.
• Manage routers, switches, firewalls, and network security technologies, across Cisco environments.
• Support Azure cloud connectivity, ensuring reliable and secure infrastructure services.
• Administer VMware environments (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and virtual networking).
• Lead infrastructure modernization, lifecycle management, and disaster recovery.
• Monitor network and infrastructure performance, perform root cause analysis, and provide Tier 3 escalation support.
• Develop technical documentation, network diagrams, and operational standards while mentoring junior team members.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and vendors to deliver strategic infrastructure projects and improvements.
• Able to participate in 24/7 on-call rotation and after-hours/weekend support as needed.
• Ability to travel when needed.
