Job summary

Contributes to strategic IT decisions that align capabilities with long term organizational objectives. Collaborates closely with cross-functional stakeholders to define standards, manage budgets, and drive process improvement. Ensures compliance, security, and regulatory requirements are met. Fosters a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and accountability within the team.

Responsibilities And Duties
  • Direct and oversee infrastructure developments and maintenance to ensure business requirements can be met.
  • Lead definition of architectural standards for all technology services and components (applications, data, integration, technology, security, business). Present business and IT leaders with signature-ready recommendations for adjusting policies and projects to achieve target business outcomes that capitalize on relevant digital disruptions.
  • Document the most complex "as is" and "to be" processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the "to be" capability to record accurately the change required.
  • Develop a strategic architecture plan, ensuring that data features are prioritized appropriately, estimates are reliable, benefits can be realized, and design activities are proactively monitored and tracked to meet planned time frames and the overall architecture plan.
  • Elicit the most-complex business requirements using a variety of methods, such as interviews, document analysis, workshops, and workflow analysis, to express the requirements in terms of target user roles and goals.
  • Communicate the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan within the team; explain the relationship to the broader organization's mission, vision, and values; motivate people to commit to these and to do extraordinary things to achieve local business goals.
  • Develop straightforward business cases to quantify current costs, justify project investment, and identify the return on investment.
  • Lead in detecting and analyzing security incidents, including attacks, breaches, and identified vulnerabilities, and remediate any security gaps in line with the security incident management procedure.
  • Manage and report on the performance of a substantial, diverse team; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or project/account team members and hold individuals accountable for achieving them; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team/personal objectives.
  • Use the organization's formal development framework to identify the team's individual development needs. Plan and implement actions, including continuing professional development specified by professional or regulatory institutions, to build their professional capabilities. Provide informal training or coaching to others throughout the organization in own area of expertise to enable others to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.
  • Develop and/or deliver budget plans with guidance from senior colleagues.

Required:

  • Conduct an enterprise readiness assessment to determine the organization's readiness for change.
  • Express user needs in terms of business requirements, identify current capability of the business to deliver, conduct build or buy analyses, and recommend preferred approach.
  • Conduct gap analysis between current and future states to identify components of the overall change strategy.
  • Design architectures, incorporating system/ service requirements.

  • Review and evaluate recommendations and requirements and to develop appropriate plans or deliver actions required.
  • Develop and execute architectures, policies and practices in order to manage the information lifecycle needs of an organization.
  • Monitor, interpret and understand policies and procedures and ensure their alignment with organizational strategies and work objectives.
  • Determine and analyze trends from data that is collected to assist in compiling reports that will help in decision-making.
  • Proficiently navigate and manage cloud-based infrastructure, including virtual machines, networks, storage, and services.
  • Understand, deploy, and manage cloud-based infrastructure and services.
  • Understand business context, needs, rules, and architecture, as well as organizational structure, cultures, capabilities, and processes to document the current state of processes and the business.
  • Operates as a recognized expert to maintain system/service and information security, integrity, compliance and continuity.
  • Applies comprehensive knowledge / skill, acts with independence and provides guidance and training to others.
  • Adopt solutions to automate and manage multiple applications and functions within an organization.
Preferred

Education: Master's Degree or Equivalent Level

Experience: Wide and deep experience providing expert competence (10 years to 15 years)

Managerial Experience: Experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short / medium timescales within the overall policy framework. (6 years to 10 years)
