Job summary

A leading technology consulting firm seeks an experienced professional in DNS/DHCP systems to manage network configurations and migrations from IPv4 to IPv6. The ideal candidate will have extensive Linux experience and a strong knowledge of Bind 9. Local candidates in Portland are preferred.

Qualifications

• 7 years of Linux/Unix experience.
• Experience with Bind 9 at the SME level (5 years).
• Working CCNA certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and configure DNS/DHCP systems using Q-IP, INFOBLOX, or BLUECAT.
• Migrate from IPv4 to IPv6.
• Collaborate with local teams to meet client needs.

Job Description

The DNS/DHCP system in use is Q-IP. Familiarity with this solution is preferred but not mandatory. Skills with INFOBLOX, BLUECAT, SOLARWINDS, etc., are acceptable. Other key skills include:

• 7 years of Linux/Unix experience and training
• 5 years of recent experience with Bind 9 at the SME level
• 5 years of recent experience with Lucent/Alcatel QIP as a remote site organization administrator
• Expert knowledge of IPv4
• Knowledge of IPv6 and migrating from IPv4
• Working CCNA certification (configuring SVIs and/or routers for DHCP IP-helpers)
