Job summary

Precise Systems, Inc. seeks a Network Engineer to support Navy network design and deployment. The role requires developing topologies, templates, IP plans, test plans, and documenting SD-WAN configurations. You will work with DoD stakeholders and ensure secure, reliable network solutions for mission readiness.

Minimum six years in IT network engineering with CCNP or equivalent. Hybrid work with occasional travel to customer sites, and a current Secret/TS clearance is preferred.

Duties

• Development of network topologies and templates from system requirements
• Development of network templates and IP plans, development of test plans and documentation.
• Configuration and documentation of software defined wide area network (WAN) solutions. Required Education:
• Bachelors of Science degree from an accredited university in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physical Science required.
• CCNP (or equivalent) certification Required Experience:
• Minimum of six (6) years experience supporting the engineering of Information Technology systems for a DoD or Government Agency.
• Experience developing technical documentation
• Proven track record of performance in client facing roles that require engagement and relationship building with stakeholders across Navy programs, the DoD, or other federal agencies
• Experience with SDN/ SD-WAN Technologies and vendors including VMware, NSX-T, Cisco, Juniper, and open-source solutions
• Experience with network configuration for L2/L3 switches, routers, security appliances (firewalls, NIDS, NIPS, etc)
• Experience developing and documenting network topologies
• Experience in troubleshooting and restoring network and system outages
• Experience in virtualization technologies Desired Qualifications:
• Experience with RF communications, specifically MILSATCOM or COMSATCOM technologies.
• Experience leveraging NetDevOps or DevSecOps to scale enterprise level engineering projects.
• Experience with Network Automation in Python, Ansible, NETCONF, and/or RESTCONF
• Experience modeling network configuration in JSON, YAML, or Jinja
• Experience developing and maturing complex, collaborative networking projects and working autonomously to move network development forward

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $86,190.40-$155,142.72 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems' total compensation package.
