Job summary

Impulse Space, based in Redondo Beach, is seeking a Network Engineer (Test Engineering) to design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across site, manufacturing, lab/test, and data center environments.

You will support mission-critical operations, work with Security and IT leadership, and help optimize uptime, performance, and security with Cisco-focused environments while valuing other vendors and automation using Python and related tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on network engineering in production environments.
• Experience with multi-site, on-prem, and cloud-adjacent networks.
• Experience in change-controlled, security-sensitive environments.
• Strong knowledge of Layer 2/3 technologies including VLANs, trunking, STP, link aggregation, OSPF, and familiarity with BGP.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across sites and environments.
• Configure routing protocols (OSPF/BGP) and site-to-site connectivity.
• Configure and maintain network segmentation (VLANs, ACLs, 802.1X) and zero-trust controls.
• Monitor health and performance; troubleshoot across layers 1–7; reduce downtime.
