Applied Research Solutions is seeking a full-time Network Engineer Senior at Lackland AFB-San Antonio, TX. The role requires a US citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance, with a minimum of five years of technical engineering experience in complex networked systems.

The position involves leading technical direction on architectures, interfaces, and integration for DoD systems in secured environments, with an emphasis on effective communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsabilidades

• Function as a senior technical expert engineer in systems development including C2, airborne networking, and ISR sensor systems for Air Force programs.
• Provide direction on software architectures and hardware development for communications, computation, sensing and control.
• Provide technical direction for requirements definition, development, integration, testing, redesign, and investigations across assigned systems.
• Research and identify logical solutions to major problems and develop system architecture changes.
• Identify compatibility and interoperability issues and notify stakeholders of potential impacts.
• Review systems documentation to support assigned systems and interfaces.
• Develop technical documentation for forecasting, status reporting and project planning.
• Perform capability analyses and evaluate COTS/GOTS, select components, and ensure DoD/commercial standards compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities include:

• Function as a senior technical expert engineer in systems development involving extremely complex Computer network or electronic systems including Command and Control (C2), airborne networking, and Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) sensor systems for Air Force acquisition programs.
• Provide direction on program development of software architectures and designs concepts, hardware development such as electronic circuits, electronic devices, or equipment for purposes such as communications, computation, sensing, and control.
• Provide overall technical direction and guidance for performing requirements definition, development, modification, integration, validation, testing, redesign, when necessary, and special investigations associated with development and sustainment support activities for all assigned systems, to include performance analyses, modeling and simulation, hardware/software investigations and reliability or maintainability studies.
• Research and identify logical solutions to major problems and develop or initiate changes to system architecture and/or hardware and software designs to resolve said problems.
• Research and identify compatibility and interoperability issues of assigned systems and other related integrated systems and notify appropriate managerial, engineering, and operational organizations of possible impacts to system mission effectiveness.
• Review systems documentation including plans, specifications, design data, procedures and other associated documents in support of assigned systems and for systems that interface with assigned systems.
• Develop comprehensive technical documentation for engineering forecasts, status reporting, and detailed planning of projects.
• Perform and/or support capability analyses and COTS/GOTS evaluation, select components, and develop system interfaces to ensure compliance with DoD and commercially accepted standards and requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
