General Dynamics IT in Hawaii seeks a senior network engineer to support the US BICES-X program, delivering secure, reliable network services for DoD operations with a globally dispersed team.

The role requires a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, CCNA Security or higher, and 10+ years of related experience. You will design, deploy, and secure enterprise networks, mentor staff, and drive incident resolution onsite at Camp Smith.

Competenze

  • Minimum of 10+ years of directly related network engineering experience.
  • BA/BS in related field; additional experience may substitute for degree.
  • Must possess and maintain a Top Secret clearance with SCI Eligibility.
  • 8570/8140 compliance required; CCNA Security mandatory; higher certs acceptable.

  • Interfaces with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance.
  • Assists with development of third-party monitoring actions and procedures for network infrastructure.

Job Description

US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System eXtended (US BICES-X) is a cutting-edge program supporting DoW intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations. With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world challenges on a cross-functional, fast paced team.

Responsibilities
  • Provides advice and training to end-users and less-experienced network personnel

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of directly related experience in network engineering.
  • BA/BS in related field, additional experience may substitute for degree
  • Must possess and maintain a TOP SECRET clearance with SCI Eligibility.
  • This position is deemed a DoW IA Workforce, IAT Level II position and requires 8570/8140 compliance. A candidate must meet the following requirements: CCNA Security. Higher certifications such as CCNP Security, or CISSP are acceptable.
  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network analysis and design.
  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, patch panels, concentrators, associated terminals, and related network hardware and software.
  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Juniper route/switch knowledge is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting type-1 encryptors.
  • Knowledge and experience with CUCM and VOIP administration.

The likely salary range for this position is $108,800 - $147,200. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
