Job Description

Semper Valens Solutions is looking for a Network Engineer. The opportunity relates to the Prototyping Integration Facility (PIF) at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

Position Details

• Location: Aberdeen, MD
• Security Clearance: Secret
• Referral Bonus: $1,000

Responsibilities

• Design, evaluate, and support computer network systems including LANs, WANs, intranets, and the Internet.
• Develop and implement network policies, ensure network integrity, and oversee maintenance and modifications.
• Troubleshoot network issues, install and upgrade equipment and software.
• Create and maintain network documentation, support network performance monitoring.
• Act as a liaison between clients, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Plan capacity, conduct research on new technologies, and document procedures.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Experience in hardware projects, network design, and analysis.
• Proficiency with hardware testing, VMWARE, UNIX/RedHat Linux, and Windows OS.
• Knowledge of space, weight, environmental, and electromagnetic interference considerations.
• Experience in policy development and security classification guides.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 1-10+ years of relevant experience; additional experience may substitute for education.

Travel

Less than 30% travel expected, within the US and internationally.
