Cboe Global Markets operates a key office in the Overland Park Xchange (OPx), located in Overland Park, Kansas. The OPx business park is strategically positioned to provide convenient access to the Kansas City metropolitan area, offering modern infrastructure and a collaborative environment ideal for the financial services and technology industries.
The Network Engineer – Operations is a core member of Cboe’s global infrastructure organization. The role focuses on operating, supporting, and continuously improving the reliability, performance, and fairness of network connectivity across highly distributed, latency‑sensitive trading platforms spanning on‑prem and cloud environments. This is a hands‑on engineering role for experienced network technologists with deep expertise in routing, MPLS, firewalls, and packet‑level troubleshooting, combined with working knowledge of cloud networking and automation.
NOC Engineers own complex troubleshooting, real‑time monitoring, incident response, change execution, and customer connectivity onboarding. They collaborate directly with internal engineering teams and external customers, serve as escalation points, and translate complex issues into actionable outcomes for both technical stakeholders and senior leadership.
The role also emphasizes building efficient, modern operations through scripting, automation, and API‑driven workflows to improve observability, accelerate root cause analysis, and reduce mean time to repair (MTTR). Strong operational judgment, communication skills, and the ability to translate telemetry and packet‑level data into clear insights are essential. Engineers operate effectively in a high‑availability, always‑on environment while supporting and evolving a next‑generation, software‑driven network and cloud operations function.

At Cboe, the anticipated base salary range for this role is $85,000–$121,000, with actual compensation determined by job‑related factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal alignment, and location. The role may also be eligible for annual incentive compensation and, where applicable, participation in Cboe's long‑term equity programs.
