Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a CLEARED Network Engineer to join a critical Department of Defense program. This full-time role is onsite at Lackland AFB or Randolph AFB, requiring an active security clearance.

You will support modernization, operation, and maintenance of secure network infrastructure, install and optimize services, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to the design and sustainment of network architectures aligned with mission requirements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Network Engineer.
• Strong background with Cisco routing/switching.
• Experience with Visio, Wireshark, PuTTY and other network tools.
• Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity requirements, RMF and STIG.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI clearance.

Essential Duties of the CLEARED Network Engineer:

• Support the modernization, operation, and maintenance of secure network infrastructure and electronic security systems.
• Install, configure, maintain, and optimize network services, devices, and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex network and telecommunications issues across multiple environments.
• Support the design, implementation, and sustainment of network architectures aligned with mission requirements.
• Develop and review network design documentation, system layouts, communication plans, and technical specifications.

• 10+ years of experience as a Network Engineer.
• Strong background with Cisco routing/switching
• Experience using Visio, Wireshark, PuTTY, command-line interfaces, and other network administration tools.
• Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity requirements, RMF, STIG implementation, and security compliance standards.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI clearance.

Compensation for the CLEARED Network Engineer:

• $140,000 - $165,000 (based on experience)
