Job summary

Hunter Bond is seeking a senior network engineer in New York to own the systems infrastructure from day one, overseeing the design, implementation, and operation of our network across on-prem and cloud environments.

You will lead end-to-end network projects, manage routing, switching, firewalls, and security practices, and collaborate closely with the broader infra team to scale our high-performance platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, EE, or related field.
• 5–10 years in network or network security roles.
• Strong traditional networking chops: routing, switching, firewalls.
• Proficient in scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Solid grasp of security best practices.
• Excellent communication and project management instincts.
• Familiarity with AWS or public cloud is a plus.
• Financial services background helpful but not required.

This is a rare shot to step into a relatively young but genuinely elite, multi-strategy investment platform and take real ownership of network engineering from day one. You'd be joining a tight-knit Systems Infrastructure team where the surface area is huge - counterparty integrations, new office buildouts, cloud networking expansion and the trajectory only grows from there. What You'll Do
