Cullerton Group in Nashville, TN seeks a Network Engineer 3 focused on network security and firewall management for enterprise environments. The role is 100% onsite across Nashville, Dallas, or East Peoria and runs for 12 months with the possibility of permanent placement.

You will handle firewall policies, NAC governance with Cisco ISE, and network segmentation, collaborating with product owners and IT teams to ensure secure, reliable services.

Qualifications

Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Network Engineer 3 - Network Security & Firewall Management in Nashville, TN; Dallas, TX; or East Peoria, IL (Nashville preferred). The work will be performed 100% onsite, Monday-Friday, first shift (5 days per week). This is a 12-month position that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to 57/hr + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer 3 to support enterprise network security operations, firewall management, and network access control initiatives. This role will focus on maintaining secure network infrastructure, managing firewall and proxy policies, and implementing network improvements to reduce security risks. The engineer will work with internal teams and product owners to troubleshoot technical issues, support network segmentation, and ensure the reliability and security of network services. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Cisco ISE, firewall management, network protocols, and cybersecurity best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily operational support for enterprise network security, firewall policies, and network services.
• Perform Network Access Control (NAC) governance activities using Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
• Support network segmentation, application protection, proxy policy management, and hardware refresh initiatives.
• Troubleshoot network security issues, firewall policies, cloud policies, and network traffic flows.
• Conduct testing, quality assurance, and validation of network changes before production deployment.
• Collaborate with internal teams and product owners to maintain network security infrastructure and improve operational processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Security Engineering/Architecture, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in network engineering, network security, or cybersecurity operations.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity network best practices.
• Hands-on knowledge of firewall management, network protocols, and network traffic flows.
• Functional knowledge of Cisco ISE and network access control.
• Experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure and troubleshooting network-related issues.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Nashville, Dallas, or East Peoria.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with network segmentation and security risk reduction initiatives.
• Knowledge of application protection, proxy policies, and cloud firewall policies.
• Experience supporting network infrastructure upgrades and hardware refresh projects.
• Familiarity with network change management, deployment testing, and quality assurance.
• Experience working in large enterprise or industrial environments.
