Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Network Engineer 3's for a contract opportunity in San Diego, CA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

• 5 Years with Bachelors in Science in a STEM field, 3 Years with Masters in a STEM field or 1 Year with PhD in a STEM field.
• CompTIA Network+ or similar certification.
• Experience with Juniper, SDWAN, and Cisco Routers and Switches.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Looking for an Engineer Network 3 to support various programs within the Connectivity and Networked Solutions (CNS) Business Unit (BU). As a member of the CNS BU department, you'll get to support engineering efforts towards network operations and security.

Designs and plans network communications systems. Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Conducts testing of network design. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

• CompTIA Security+ Certification.
• CCNA Certification.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Bachelors in Science in a STEM field is required.

School must be accredited.

WORK HOURS:

Full-Time 9/80 work week. 1st shift. 8AM - 5PM.
