Job summary

Metric DCX is partnering with a rapidly growing AI infrastructure and data center organization that is expanding its Network Engineering team across the United States. You will work on technically demanding projects, focusing on one or more areas such as AI/HPC networking, data center networking, or OT/industrial networks, and help deploy networks across new data center sites.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise within one or more networking areas (AI/HPC, data center, OT/industrial, wireless).
• Ability to design and deploy complex networks in mission-critical environments.
• Strong understanding of modern data center fabrics and security considerations.

I'm partnering closely with a rapidly growing AI infrastructure and data center organization that is continuing to scale its Network Engineering organization across the US.

Rather than hiring for one specific profile, we're building across 3 specialist Network Engineering areas:

• Wireless & Corporate Networking
• BMS / EPMS / OT Networking

You do not need experience across all four areas. We're interested in understanding where your technical strengths lie and matching you with the most relevant opportunity.

The Opportunity

You'll have the opportunity to work on some of the most technically demanding AI and data center infrastructure projects in the market.

Depending on your background, your responsibilities could include:

• Building frontend, backend, backbone, management and storage networks
• Designing lossless Ethernet / RDMA / RoCEv2 architectures
• Working with BGP, EVPN/VXLAN, CLOS / leaf-spine architectures
• Deploying and commissioning network infrastructure across new data center sites
• Designing BMS, EPMS, SCADA and OT/ICS networks
• Integrating and securing IT/OT environments
• Working with BACnet/IP, Modbus TCP and OPC UA
• Designing and deploying wireless and corporate networks across mission-critical environments
• Developing automation-first network environments using ZTP, configuration-as-code and source-of-truth models

What We're Looking For

We're interested in speaking with Network Engineers who have strong experience in one or more of the following areas:

AI / HPC Networking: RDMA, RoCEv2, PFC, ECN, GPU clusters, high-performance Ethernet

Data Center Networking: BGP, EVPN/VXLAN, CLOS, leaf-spine, routing, switching, structured cabling

Network Deployment: Data center builds, commissioning, site deployment, network validation and automation

BMS / EPMS / OT: SCADA, BACnet, Modbus, OPC UA, industrial networking and IT/OT segmentation

Wireless / Corporate: Wi-Fi, campus LAN, RF surveys, NAC, SD-WAN and zero trust

You don't need to tick every box. We're looking for engineers with deep expertise within their respective area who want to work on next-generation AI and mission-critical infrastructure.
