Responsibilities

  • Designs and implements self-healing networks.
  • Maintains overall functionality of networks.
  • Troubleshoots routing, switching and multicast faults.
  • Configures and troubleshoots RADIUS, SYSLOG, NTP, OSPF.
  • Monitors network load balancing and advises on upgrades.
  • Identifies need for enhancing network component capabilities.
  • Reviews SIEM alerts regarding system status.
  • Hardens networking infrastructure appropriately.
  • Resolves IAVA/STIG findings as appropriate.
  • Provides technical and operational support for telecommunications equipment.
  • Conducts site surveys for equipment installations.
  • Mentors other IT personnel as needed.

EWOCS provides reliable high-quality communications and innovative IT solutions for the Guardians, Airmen, and Government agencies assigned to Patrick Space Force Base, Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, and Vandenberg Air Force Base. Responsibilities
  • Designs and implements self-healing networks
  • Maintains overall functionality of networks.
  • Troubleshoots routing, switching and multicast faults
  • Configures and troubleshoots RADIUS, SYSLOG, NTP, OSPF, Auto-RP
  • Monitors network load balancing, route cost patterns, overall system health, etc. and advises on need for potential upgrades or reconfigurations
  • Identifies the need to upgrade or enhance network component capabilities
  • Periodically reviews SIEM alerts as they relate to overall system status
  • Hardens networking infrastructure as appropriate, balancing customer Availability/Integrity/Confidentiality needs.
  • Resolves IAVA/STIG findings as appropriate, providing proper documentation and/or justification to A&A personnel
  • Provides on-site technical and operational support in the installation and operation of any/all telecommunications equipment
  • Conducts site surveys to determine feasibility of equipment installations (e.g. telecommuncations, electrical, temperature/humidity, cleanliness, space/weight, maintainability, logistical support)
  • Mentors other IT personnel as needed
Required Experience/Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Must meet DoD 8570 IAT II requirements
  • Experience designing and implementing self-healing networks
  • Expert understanding of Cisco and/or Juniper technologies
  • Expert understanding of networking protocolsExperience in cross-platform networking environments
Special Requirements/Security Clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance
