Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer to support a DoD contractor client. This onsite role is located at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, FL, within a classified CENTCOM environment as part of a network modernization effort.

Responsibilities include assessing Cisco Catalyst infrastructure, implementing changes on 9300X switches, and validating L2/L3 functionality, with emphasis on redundancy and failover testing.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• Experience with Cisco Catalyst 9000-series switches, preferably 9300X.
• Strong knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts.
• Experience with VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, routing, and network redundancy.
• Experience with Brocade switches, HPE 280 and 380 servers, and NetApp storage.
• Proven ability to assess and modernize enterprise network environments.
• Strong troubleshooting experience in production or mission-critical environments.
• Ability to create technical documentation and implementation records.

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer to support a company supporting the Department of Defense. This position is onsite at MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, FL. This is a unique opportunity supporting a network modernization effort within a classified CENTCOM environment.

Responsibilities for the Network Engineer include:
