Role Overview

Seeking a contract Network Engineer to support a Cisco-based routing and switching infrastructure initiative. This role is primarily execution-focused, working within an established team and following direction from senior leads. The engineer will support network infrastructure deployment and, once equipment is staged in the field, conduct on-site inspections at various customer facilities across the Philadelphia metro area.

Responsibilities

• Support design, configuration, and deployment of Cisco routing and switching infrastructure
• Execute network tasks under the direction of senior network leads and project management
• Inspect and validate deployed network equipment at customer field locations across Philadelphia
• Document configurations and maintain accuracy of network records
• Coordinate with on-site teams to ensure consistent, reliable network performance

Requirements

• 5 to 20 years of experience in network engineering
• Active Cisco certification (any level; CCNA or above preferred)
• Hands‑on experience with Cisco routing and switching platforms
• Comfortable working in a follow‑the‑lead capacity within a structured project environment

• Unified Communications or CUCM support
• Firewall or network security responsibilities
