Job description

We are looking for a Network Engineer (Level 2) outside of Nashville, TN. He/she must have 5+ years of experience designing, configuring, and troubleshooting enterprise and HPC networks, including strong hands‑on expertise in Ethernet and NVIDIA/Mellanox InfiniBand environments. This role partners closely with customers, vendors, and R&D to design network topologies, resolve complex server and TOR/NIC issues, and ensure scalable, secure, high‑performance network operations.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Working on designing, configuring, and managing internetworks including ethernet and Mellanox/NVIDIA InfiniBand in High Performance Computing environments.
• Troubleshooting server product networking issues between TOR SW, DAC, and NIC.
• Analyze the failures and collaborate with R&D team to find out the root cause.
• Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
• Configure and install software, servers, routers, and other network devices.
• Monitor network performance and integrity.
• Create, oversee, and test security measures.
• Maintain complete technical documentation.
• Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability.
• Research, implement, install, develop, and maintain all network operations including routers, firewalls, switches, access, servers, and network facilities.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years hands‑on experience with infrastructure engineering with enterprise network technologies including InfiniBand networks.
• Strong experience in setting up, configuring, and managing Ethernet and InfiniBand networks.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve network issues.
• Good understanding of computer systems and other products and services.
• Solid background in network administration and architecture.
• In‑depth understanding of communication and routing protocols.
• Familiarity with access control models and network security.
• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools.
• Solid understanding of network operating systems.

Nice to Have Skills and Experience

• Professional certification preferred (CCNA, CCNP, CCDP).
