Job summary

ManTech seeks a Network Engineer in Laurel, MD to deliver enterprise infrastructure supporting national defense missions. You will work on VPN/IPsec, cross-domain solutions, and Cisco ecosystems including Nexus and ISR devices.

Responsibilities include planning, deploying, QA for upgrades, and documenting system diagrams for planning and continuity in a high-security setting with TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience in a technical field.
• Alternate: Associates degree with 15+ years or HS diploma with 20+ years in related work.
• Experience deploying and sustaining secure networks (PKI/IPsec/VPN).
• Extensive CISCO equipment experience (9300, 3850/4900, ASR).
• CCNA/CCSP/CCDP/CCNP at professional level or equivalent certs.
• Understanding of routing protocols, QoS, and IPsec tunneling.

Responsibilities

• Support customer networks with cross-domain solutions, VPNs and encryption devices.
• Plan, deploy and QA network upgrade projects and configurations.
• Create diagrams and schematics for documentation and continuity.
• Design/install/troubleshoot LAN/WAN equipment including Cisco ISR/Nexus/Catalyst.
• Implement switching, VLANs, Inter-VLAN routing, and WAN/LAN trunking.

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Engineer to join our team in Laurel, MD. You will be part of a dedicated team delivering enterprise infrastructure capabilities for a global workforce that supports a wide range of national defense missions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for supporting customer networks involving cross-domain solutions, including VPNs, one-way data transfers, unclassified mission related infrastructures, and Taclane 175 encryption devices. Specific configurations include routing using MPLS/VPLS, OSPF, EIGRP at the Core and Distribution devices and switching at the Access devices.
• Responsible for performing planning, deployment and quality assurance functions for system and network upgrade projects.
• Will develop high, mid and lower-level diagrams and schematics to document the system and network infrastructure for planning, historical and continuity purposes.
• Responsible for designing, installing, configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining a LAN/WAN equipment required to provide telecommunications services in a complex environment consisting of various Cisco network equipment to include Nexus and Catalyst model as well as Integrated Service Routers.
• Responsible for designing networks utilizing switching technology to include VLAN, Inter-VLAN routing, trunking, and port aggregation on the WAN/LAN environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with (12) years of relevant experience with technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Associates degree with (15) years of relevant experience or high school diploma with (20) years of relevant experience
• Significant experience provisioning and sustaining network infrastructures and have experience developing, operating, and managing networks required to operate in a secure PKI, IPSEC, or VPN enabled environment
• Significant experience with CISCO network equipment, i.e. 9300, 3850, 4900, ASR-2130, etc.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certified at the Professional level in Network Security (CCSP), Network Design (CCDP), and/or Routing & Switching (CCNP)
• Able to understand routing protocols, QOS, be able to implement traffic shaping and policing on the network, and understand IPSEC tunneling
• Crypto experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Leads medium to large complex projects and major phases of very large projects.
• Provides highly technical and specialized guidance and solutions to complex IT problems.
• At least three years of direct experience with and intelligence community.

Clearance Requirements:

• Must have a current/active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph

Physical Requirements:

• The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Occasionally move about inside the office to collaborate with other leaders/teams, use standard office automation equipment, and virtual communication.

The projected compensation range for this position is $141,500.00-$236,000.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
