Job Title: Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Responsible for installing and maintaining all LAN/WAN voice and data infrastructure on classified and unclassified Cisco networks (routers, switches, security and access devices).
• Assist in the design and implementation of core switches, routers, Cisco VoIP Unified Communications, and LAN/WAN and Cisco wireless network related additions and changes.
• Handle hardware and software issues; on‑going administration of the corporate network, implement and manage aspects of physical and logical security, maintain accurate records of all maintenance, inventory, and security measures using ITIL processes for voice and data networks; work with branch team members to assess and solve infrastructure challenges.
• Provide network infrastructure support to setup, configure, modify, test, maintain, operate, and support Cisco switches and routers, Cisco permission management and administration.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 5 years of experience.
• Expertise required in Cisco products (Routers, Switches, Firewalls).
• Experience working with carrier class MPLS services.
• Excellent IP networking fundamentals and extensive experience in the application and troubleshooting of IP protocols.
• In-depth knowledge of and experience with major router platforms.
• Experience working with large‑scale networks.
• Excellent network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills.
• Significant experience with protocols & technologies: VLANs/STP, IPv4 & IPv6, TCP (internals & flow control), BGP, OSPF, PIMv2, IGMP, LDP, IPSEC & VPNs, netflow, DNS, HTTP, SSL.
