Job summary

ClearBridge Technology Group is seeking an experienced Network Engineer for a 12-month onsite contract at Camp Smith, HI. You will design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot complex networks in a DoD mission-focused environment, collaborating with engineers and mission partners worldwide.

Responsibilities include architecture design, Cisco routing/switching, data center activities, and mentoring junior engineers. A TS/SCI clearance and CCNA are required, with CCNP/ITIL advantages.

Qualifications

• Ten years of network engineering experience required.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with DoD 8140 IAT Level II.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• CCNA certification current.
• Strong Cisco IOS and routing/switching expertise; solid troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise network architectures and infrastructure.
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routing, switching, multicast, DMVPN, GRE, and related network technologies.
• Identify and resolve complex network and systems issues.
• Support network upgrades, enhancements, testing, documentation, and deployments.
• Collaborate with teams and leadership to define requirements and resolve needs.
• Provide technical guidance and training; mentor junior engineers.
• Support data center, virtualization, automation, network security, and comms tech.

Our client, a large federal systems integrator located at Camp Smith, HI, is looking to hire a an experienced Network Engineer for a 12 month onsite contract to support a mission-focused DoD initiative supporting intelligence information sharing with U.S. and coalition partners worldwide. The Network Engineer will design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot complex network environments while collaborating with engineers, stakeholders, and mission partners in a fast-paced operational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise network architectures and infrastructure.
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routing, switching, multicast, DMVPN, GRE, and related network technologies.
• Identify and resolve complex network and systems issues.
• Support network upgrades, enhancements, testing, documentation, and operational deployments.
• Collaborate with technical teams, stakeholders, and leadership to define requirements and resolve business and mission needs.
• Provide technical guidance and training and mentor junior engineers as needed.
• Support data center, virtualization, automation, network security, and communications technologies.

Required Skills:

• 10 years of network engineering experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent additional experience.
• IAT Level II compliant with DoD 8140.
• Current CCNA certification.
• Strong experience with Cisco IOS, routing and switching protocols, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, STP, ISAKMP, ESP, SIP/SCCP, multicast, DMVPN, and GRE.
• Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.

Desired Sills:

• CCNP Routing & Switching or CCNP Enterprise.
• Experience with SolarWinds, Cisco ASA/FTD, Palo Alto firewalls, CUCM/VoIP, HAIPE encryption, VMware, VxRail, data center networking, network virtualization, ISP/transport technologies, and network security/hardening.
• ITIL V4 Foundation certification .
