Job summary

TEKsystems is hiring a DOCSIS Engineer to support RPHY testing and CMTS/Routing & Switching experiences in a hybrid role based in Greenwood Village, CO.

Responsibilities include designing and documenting network architectures, implementing enterprise networks, and optimizing performance and security through routing protocols and network hardware. The candidate should be proficient with DOCSIS technologies and Cisco switches, and capable of troubleshooting complex lab and field networks.

Job description

We are hiring for a strong DOCSIS Engineer to help with RPHY testing. This candidate will need experience with DOCSIS, CMTS and Routing and Switching experience.

• Plans and implements enterprise networks and related hardware and software.
• Designs and documents network architecture.
• Performs assessments on existing technologies to determine performance and capacity gaps.
• Establishes security (firewalls, intrusion detection), connectivity and access parameters.
• Provides recommendations to optimize network infrastructure.
• Tests and tunes security devices and systems.
• Programs routers and switches.
• Implements communications technologies (data or voice).
• Manages network services from planning phase through implementation.
• Solid knowledge of routing protocols, network hardware and software, security technologies and network infrastructure is required.

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
