Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support our IT consulting team with complex network troubleshooting, provisioning, and installation tasks. The role emphasizes high-level repair issues and project management in a fast-paced environment using Juniper and Cisco systems.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of network engineering experience, ISP background preferred, and is capable of on-call duties while coordinating with multiple teams to deliver reliable network solutions.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex network troubleshooting, provisioning, and installation tasks.
• Manage and execute complex work packages/network designs from interpretation to execution.
• Coordinate with other teams to complete work requests efficiently.
• Develop and implement detailed methods of procedure (MOP) for network changes.
• Perform full deployment and provisioning of network optical elements/services.
• Execute complex migration activities or equipment commissioning during maintenance windows.
• Ensure accurate ticket status maintenance and project documentation.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT consulting team. This role is pivotal in handling complex network troubleshooting, provisioning, and installation tasks that are beyond the scope of our regular team. With a focus on high-level repair issues and project management within a fast-paced environment, the ideal candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge in network engineering, particularly with Juniper and Cisco systems. Key Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Juniper MX Series (240s, 480s, 9600s) and Cisco Systems (9k, 7k)
• Experience with Alcatel 7210s, 7750s, Ciena 5171, 8180s, Adva, RAD
• Strong understanding of IP networks operation, administration, and maintenance
• Skilled in routing protocols and IP transport systems
• Proficient in provisioning and troubleshooting network equipment and services
• Familiarity with Jira or similar project management tools

Additional Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in network engineering, specifically with the operation, administration, and maintenance of IP networks
• Previous experience in an ISP or similar high-paced technical environment preferred
• Ability to work on-call for high priority issues and projects

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.

W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits.
