Job summary

Apogee Engineering, LLC is seeking a Network Engineer to lead network strategy and engineering analysis, designing configurations for NASIC’s transition to modern cloud environments. The role requires a TS/SCI clearance and will produce critical engineering artifacts and posture reports.

Responsibilities include designing architectures for NASIC Unified Cloud, coordinating with stakeholders, and tracking IT modernization across the FYDP. On-site at Wright Patterson with occasional travel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in network engineering or network architecture, including enterprise or mission networks.
  • Experience designing networks to support cloud environments and hybrid architectures.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity, zero trust principles, and secure network design in DoD/IC contexts.
  • Experience creating formal network architecture and configuration documentation.

  • Track IT modernization network requirements across the FYDP.
  • Produce the monthly Network Strategy Posture Report documenting progress on architectural designs and recommended standards.

Overview

Apogee is seeking a highly qualifiedNetwork Engineer ready to lead network strategy and engineering analysis to design network configurations that support NASIC’s transition to modern cloud environments. Ensures appropriate engineering artifacts are produced and IT modernization requirements are tracked across the FYDP.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant networking certifications (e.g., CCNP/CCIE, JNCIP/JNCIE, or DoD 8570/8140 technical certs).
  • Experience with cross-domain solutions, multi-classification networks, or IC-level connectivity.
  • Familiarity with DAF and NASIC network modernization initiatives and enterprise services.
  • Experience with SDN, SASE, or other modern network paradigms integrated with cloud.
