Job Summary
Castalia Systems is supporting a U.S. Government customer to provide onsite incident response to civilian Government agencies and critical asset owners who experience cyber‑attacks. Contract personnel investigate breach severity, develop mitigation plans, and assist with service restoration. This role focuses on implementing, maintaining, and supporting the lab network infrastructure for the organization.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design and implement infrastructure solutions that enhance mission execution and support command decision‑making.
- Integrate new technologies and equipment within lab environments, developing and refining SOPs and policies.
- Assess network topology and device configurations, identify security vulnerabilities, and recommend best practices.
- Provide user support for VPNs, VDI (e.g., Citrix), MacOS, and iOS platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve a broad range of technical issues, from basic to complex network problems.
- Implement granular access controls, monitor performance, maintain backup protocols, and ensure system security.
- Diagnose and resolve complex enterprise storage issues across LAN/WAN, support replication strategy and incident remediation.
- Configure routers, switches, and firewalls, update devices, perform IP address audits, and maintain robust network environments.
- Optimize network performance by troubleshooting issues, enforcing system standards, and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Secure network systems through policy enforcement, access controls, and continuous monitoring.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering, or related field; or high school diploma with 7+ years of network administration, network engineering, or systems administration experience.
- 5+ years of directly relevant network administration experience.
- Proficiency with multiple operating systems, including Linux/Unix and MacOS.
- Strong knowledge and experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Experience with virtual desktop environments (Citrix, VMware).
- Ability to work collaboratively across physical locations.
Preferred Qualifications
- TS/SCI clearance.
- Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco switches.
- Experience with converged infrastructure solutions (e.g., FlexPod) and NetApp storage systems.
- Proficiency with Cisco Intersight, vCenter, and virtualization automation/optimization.
- Strong documentation skills for technical procedures and SOPs.
- Capability to create and maintain network diagrams.
- Demonstrated experience in network design, implementation, and performance tuning.
- Project management capabilities and excellent time‑management skills.
- Expertise in hardening network devices and infrastructure for enhanced security.
- DoD 8140.01 IAT Level II.
- Network+ certification.
- CCNA certification.

Compensation
Salary range: $125,000.00 to $135,000.00 (annualized USD). Benefits include medical, dental, vision coverage, 401(k) matching, generous PTO, paid holidays, professional training, and pet insurance for eligible employees. All regularly scheduled employees working at least 30 hours per week are eligible for full benefit programs.
