Job summary

System One is seeking a Network Deployment Engineer with the ability to work remotely and travel to USCIS locations. The role involves deploying diverse network infrastructure, wireless surveys, and securing systems under a government contract.

US citizenship is required and the position may require obtaining a Public Trust clearance, a process estimated at 6–8 weeks. The engineer will contribute to deployment in existing and new facilities, ensuring compliant, scalable, and automated delivery

Responsibilities

• Deploy network infrastructure and related components (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, WAN optimizers, PDU, encryptors).
• Perform wireless site surveys before and after deployment.
• Deploy physical access control systems.
• Install software such as Cisco IOS/NOS, Riverbed RIOS, Big IP to meet compliance.
• Assist in future network strategy and budget planning.
• Adopt automated and orchestrated delivery methodologies.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Interface with Local Exchange Carriers and telecom providers for installation, testing and troubleshooting.
• Identify and resolve complex data infrastructure problems during deployments.
• Implement network solutions in Branch Sites of varying sizes and complexity.
• Generate wireless survey reports as needed and maintain network layout documentation.
• Configure and template WLAN Wi‑Fi networks; plan and validate new Wi‑Fi and wired Cisco/Meraki networks.

System One is seeking a Network Deployment Engineer. As a team member, you will be a part of the team that is responsible for deployments in existing, new, and expanding the facilities.

The Contractor shall perform the following:

• Deploy network infrastructure and commodities in support of components, such as, but not limited to:
  • Routers
  • Switches
  • Firewalls
  • load balancers
  • WAN optimizers
  • Uninterrupted Power
  • Encryptors
  • Power Distribution Units
  • wireless and mobile network kits containing multi-disciplined technologies.
• Perform wireless site surveys pre and post deployment.
• Deploy physical access control systems.
• Install software, such as but not limited to:
  • Cisco IOS/NOS
  • Riverbed RIOS
  • Big IP to ensure devices meet compliance
• Assist in planning for the future strategy of networks and provide budgetary information as needed.
• Embrace and work towards automated and orchestrated delivery methodologies.
• Perform root-cause analysis, identify, and perform corrective actions.
• Interface with Local Exchange Carriers and telecom providers regarding installation, testing and troubleshooting during deployments.
• Identify, diagnose and resolve complex problems with data infrastructure as the new deployment occurs.
• Implement network solutions in Branch Sites of various sizes and degrees of complexity.
• Conduct wireless survey reports, as needed.
• Maintain documentation related to wired and wireless network layout.
• Implement Wi-Fi configurations and templates for WLAN networks.
• Plan, design, implement, and validate new Wi-Fi networks and wired Cisco, Meraki networks.
