Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Network Automation Engineer in Plano to drive automation for a major migration project moving traffic from legacy IP core to a new IP Core. You will script automated tasks, build UI for use cases, and collect requirements across network entities.

The role emphasizes ongoing development, security compliance, and supporting mobility routing environments. The position involves discovery of inventory, assessment of automation scope, and expansion of automation as new use

Qualifications

• 5+ years scripting automation for network operations in a large enterprise.
• Experience deploying, configuring and supporting CI/CD pipelines (Github, Artifactory).
• Experience with Jira or Service Now.
• Experience with Node-RED, Itential or other low code platforms.

Responsibilities

• Discovery of network inventory.
• Assessment of the scope to develop automation from manual steps for Mobility IPE routers, IPAG VPLS routers, DCU, and Network Cloud.
• Creation of automation steps for migration from Cisco CRS Core to Pleaf Core.
• Creation of User Interface for each use case.
• Collect user requirements and user stories for each use case to be developed.
• The scope of automation development may expand if new use cases are added to the migration scope.
• Ongoing development and support for changes to the command structure due to code upgrades.
• Manage security compliance for the newly developed tools to standards.
