Job summary

Irvine Technology Corporation is seeking a Network Architect to modernize the enterprise network remotely. You will own architecture, design secure, reliable infrastructure linking offices, data centers, and cloud resources, with a focus on zero trust and Cisco Meraki foundations.

You will collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud, and network ops teams to turn standards into repeatable designs and hands-on configurations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in network engineering or architecture with hands-on LAN/WAN design.
• Hands-on Cisco Meraki experience including switching, wireless, SD-WAN and security appliances.
• CCNA or CCNP certification or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement LAN, WAN, and wireless solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
• Configure Cisco Meraki devices and security appliances.
• Evaluate new security platforms and perform proof-of-concept testing.

– Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $135,000-$170,000 per year plus bonus (the top of the range applies to major metropolitan areas)

What You’ll Do:

– Design and implement LAN, WAN, and wireless network solutions in alignment with enterprise architecture standards, including hands‑on configuration of Cisco Meraki switching, wireless, and security appliances.

– Support the evaluation of new security platforms, including proof‑of‑concept work with next‑generation firewall and SASE solutions.

– Implement network segmentation, VLANs, and access control designs that advance the organization’s zero trust roadmap, including firewall policies and secure remote access.

– Deploy and manage SD‑WAN connectivity across offices and distributed sites, coordinating with ISPs and vendors on circuit installation and turn‑up.

– Build out network connectivity between the enterprise environment and Microsoft Azure, including VPN and ExpressRoute configurations.

What Gets You the Job:

– 3-5 years of experience in network engineering or architecture, with hands‑on design of LAN, WAN, and wireless environments.

– Working experience with Cisco Meraki, including switching, wireless, SD‑WAN, and security appliances.

– Solid understanding of network segmentation, VLANs, routing, and firewall policy concepts.

– Exposure to hybrid cloud connectivity, such as VPN and ExpressRoute, with environments like Microsoft Azure.

– Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CCNP, or equivalent hands‑on experience, are preferred.
