Position Title: Network Architect

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Network Architect to design, implement and manage the network infrastructure.

The Network Architect responsibilities include designing the network layout, identifying the hardware and cabling needs, overseeing installing and configuring the network devices, and troubleshooting network problems.

Our ideal candidate is proficient in network architectures, understands the network protocols and security requirements, and can design and implement a reliable and efficient network infrastructure.

Ultimately, the role of the Network Architect is to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the network systems that support critical business operations.

Responsibilities

• Help Develop strategic technology roadmaps and provide technical leadership in the design, creation, and maintenance of enterprise technology infrastructure.
• Design and implement network architecture including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), intranets, extranets, and other data communication systems
• Develop and document network failover, redundancy, and disaster recovery plans
• Resolve complex network issues and troubleshoot network systems
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network devices and services
• Ensure the network security and protect data from unauthorized access
• Monitor network performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal speed and availability
• Experience with Wireshark or similar for Packet capture analysis and troubleshooting.
• Perform network model simulations and predictions to anticipate possible issues
• Stay up to date with network technology trends and developments
• Work with other team members to integrate new technologies into existing network infrastructure
• Comply with industry standards and regulations

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Network Architect.
• One or more Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, ASE
• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools)
• 7-10 years of experience configuring and managing Cisco routers, switches and managing Cisco Collaboration and VOIP systems.
• Experience with managing Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Managing and troubleshooting wireless networks.
• Solid understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS)
• Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.g., Python, Bash)
• Professional certification (e.g. CCNP, CCDP)
• Proficiency in network architecture and infrastructure
• In-depth understanding of communication protocols and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
