Job summary

A technology consulting firm in Oak Brook is seeking a highly experienced technology consultant with strong communication and client handling skills. The ideal candidate will have over 11 years of experience in technology consulting and a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Responsibilities include managing consulting requirements, troubleshooting network technologies, and coordinating between clients and teams. This is a full-time position, and applicants must be U.S. citizens or authorized to work in the U.S.

Job Description

Preferred

1. At least 11 years of experience in technology consulting, enterprise architecture
2. Strong communication skills and client handling skills to manage the requirements
3. Should be hands on with at least three or four technology areas and willing to learn additional area

• Technology areas are
• Cisco ACI, Cisco Switching, Routing (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF), ASA, DMVPN, IPSEC VPN, Wireless, WAAS, MPLS, (Typical DC and Enterprise network build, management)
• F5 Load Balancers, Stingray Load Balancers
• Good to have - Exposure to VMWare integration, knowledge on NSX, vRops, vRealize, Windows, Linux OS, scripting or automation, monitoring tools

Experience in deploying, managing and troubleshooting; confident in communication and handling incidents

Good at coordination between client, Infosys team, offshore team, and getting things done

Strong in troubleshooting multiple network technology areas

Should have working knowledge on three tier web applications from a network perspective

Deep knowledge of TCP/IP is needed

Good at handling vendors like Cisco, knowledge in the way their SMARTNet support runs

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 11 years of experience in IT
