Work Model: Hybrid – 4 Days Onsite / 1 Day Remote
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Network Architect to design, govern, and enhance enterprise network architecture in alignment with business objectives, technology strategies, and cybersecurity requirements.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in enterprise networking, LAN/WAN, cloud networking, routing and switching, and network security architecture. Experience supporting critical infrastructure, particularly the electrical or energy sector, is highly desirable.
This role will provide architectural leadership for network initiatives supporting the Advance Distribution Infrastructure (ADI) program, with a focus on secure, scalable, resilient, and compliant network solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and govern enterprise network architecture across on-premises, LAN/WAN, wireless, and cloud environments.
- Develop network architecture solutions covering routing and switching, IP Address Management (IPAM), Wi-Fi, DNS, DHCP, and load balancing.
- Design and evaluate site-to-site VPNs, forward and reverse proxies, ISP connectivity, and network automation solutions.
- Architect and recommend network security controls, including Network Access Control (NAC), network segmentation, Access Control Lists (ACLs), and intrusion detection systems.
- Design secure network architectures, including DMZs, zero-trust models, and secure connectivity between enterprise and operational environments.
- Provide architectural guidance for network components supporting the ADI program.
- Ensure network designs align with enterprise architecture standards, cybersecurity policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, engineering, and project teams to deliver network solutions.
- Evaluate network designs for security, performance, availability, scalability, and operational resilience.
- Support compliance initiatives and ensure adherence to applicable industry standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in network architecture.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, including routing, switching, LAN/WAN, wireless, and cloud networking.
- Hands-on or architectural experience with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, and BGP.
- Experience designing and evaluating network security solutions in enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of network segmentation, DMZ architecture, NAC, ACLs, VPNs, proxies, and zero-trust security principles.
- Understanding of network compliance and security frameworks, including PCI DSS, NERC CIP, and ISO 27001.
- Familiarity with industrial and critical infrastructure security standards, including IEC 62443 and NIST SP 800-82.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting critical infrastructure, utilities, electrical power, or energy-sector environments.
- Exposure to Operational Technology (OT) networks and secure IT/OT connectivity.
- Knowledge of hyperconverged infrastructure, network automation, load balancing, and enterprise IPAM solutions.
- Relevant industry certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, or CISSP.
Work Location Requirements
- Onsite at the Lake Kathy Office in Brandon, Florida, 4 days per week.
- Remote work 1 day per week.
