Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Network Administrator to work on Onsite teams in Tewksbury, MA. You will support LAN/WAN environments in classified programs, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure health and performance of networks under close collaboration with system administrators and cybersecurity personnel.

The role requires a university degree or equivalent, 2+ years of relevant experience, Cisco LAN expertise, and an active Secret clearance.

• Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco hardware on Local Area Networks (LAN) within classified environments.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The Classified Infrastructure Services department provides expertise to programs in Data Center Management, Networking and High-Performance Computing. As a Network Administrator (Senior Analyst Level - P2), you will work closely with system administrators and cybersecurity and bring an enhanced level of knowledge on networking technologies and practices to support multiple program Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs). This is an on-site position in our Tewksbury, MA location.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Effective customer service skills, including oral and written communications.
• CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent 8570 IAT Level II or 8140 Intermediate for Network Operations Specialist). Strongly preferred or will need to obtain within first 6 months of employment.
• Experience installing and operating SNMP-based network management tools (e.g. SolarWinds)
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting RADIUS for 802.1x and AAA using Network Policy Server or Cisco Identity Services Engine
• Experience configuring and operating Type-1 encryption devices (e.g. KG-175 series)
• Associate-level Cisco certification (e.g. Cisco Certified Network Associate)
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance preferred.

Onsite:

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
